DAILY ACTIVITIES OF THE SCHOOL

The school has fully furnished spacious class rooms each named after ancient Indian great personalities and scholars. The class rooms are decorated with Subhashita, Amrutha Vachana, Swadeeshi Dinanka etc., as per ancient Indian style and tradition. The thought of school as a holy place of worship, everyone who enters the class room should leave their footwear neatly outside the class rooms. The school starts at 9.05AM with prayer and study time. Class periods follow at about 9.30AM. There is a short morning brake at about 10.55AM for 10 minutes. During this period LKG, UKG, lower primary students and the staff members are provided with simple light Tiffin. Morning session of the school closes at about 12.25PM for midday meals.

Afternoon session starts at about 1.10PM and ends at 4.00PM after a short assembly for Ikya mantra and National Anthem.

The school timing may change from time to time depending upon the decision of the management or educational authorities.


CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Other than general education, the school is also arranging weekly debates, cultural activities, classical music and dance classes, sports, adventurous sports like Mallakambha saahasa and karate; cycling; hiking; various active association in connection with Science; Social Studies; culture; literature; poetry; sports events; dramas; scripts; yakshagana etc.


School Day

Every year during the first week of January, the school celebrates it’s Schoolday with ‘Kreedothsava’, the sports and talent day which normally attracts a huge gathering from the near surroundings. The events of that day are centered about the culture and healthy atmosphere of the society.


ANNAPOORNA ANNA YOJANA’, Midday Meal Provision Programme

To meet the midday meals requirement of the school, the school has a full pledged kitchen; kitchen staff and a store. The major cost of the programme is borne by the management with contribution from the reputed generous donors. A nominal contribution from the students is accepted to create awareness of the value of food in them. The food is prepared in a hygienic atmosphere using best quality food materials. Once in a week sweet is distributed along with the food. Some parents generously contribute/sponsor special sweets on their Child’s birthday occasion. On such occasion, before starting the meals, all other students wish such individual very happy birth day and pray for their better health and future. While distributing the meals, students chant shlokas’ , subhashitas, thought for the day etc.


CONCLUSION

Sandeepani Rural Education Society’s main aim is to provide best quality education to the needy poor rural students at very low cost. Mean time it has vision to provide such high quality residential education to students from far places or from the cities whose parents wish to provide the same to their child at a rural village atmosphere in a green surrounding. Parents who wish better cultural, social all round development of their child may find ‘Sandeepani’ as their best choice.
